Axed

This site may be very young, but I am closing it down. I just don't feel like doing it anymore.

However, what this site tried to cover, and more, will be on a new site that I have recently started, and, as of posting this, is under construction. You can find it here.

Bye forever!

The Battle Begins

Episode two of Heroes series three, The Butterfly Effect, is due to air here in the U.K. at 21:00 BST on BBC2 tonight. It is set to really kick-off the volume it is in, Villains. You can read me synopsis for the episode below.

The Company goes into turmoil as Sylar declares war on them and many villains escape Level 5, after a devastating battle with Elle. The violence also spreads to the Petrellis. Mohinder has some good luck, as does Matt. But will the villains destroy this?

S.J.A. Review: The Last Sontaran part 2

I personally preferred this part of the story to the first. But, looking around the web, I think I may be the only one.

This episode actually accomplished something, unlike the previous. Fair enough, the writing wasn’t the best, but it was better than episode one. However, the acting did make up for that.

The parts of the script that I didn’t find too good were the fact that Kaagh could have easily caught the teenagers, but he didn’t. The writer probably didn’t want to create too big a problem, but Kaagh had so many back-up plans that the problem was big anyway.

Onto the decent stuff, and the emotional scenes were amazing in my opinion. The acting and the writing alike couldn’t have been better. The final Jackson scenes lasted the right amount of time, so they didn’t drag on like I was worried they would after a while, and they weren’t too short like I worried they would be initially.

As much as I enjoyed all the different problems, I feel they might have been added just to make sure the episode was the right length. They weren’t too bad, though.

I’ll miss the Jacksons. They’ve been fantastic. I am wearing a red top like Alan was wearing in this episode today. Chrissie finding out about Maria’s past-time was a nice thing for their last story. I hope Rani will be a good replacement.

Overall, I found this a better episode than part one. I hope the rest of the series keeps to this, or even exceed it.

This Schedule is Screwed Up

I previously reported that series three of After You've Gone would resume on Sunday 19 October. Well, I now have official confirmation that episode four, entitled Bad, Bad Old Days, will be broadcast on BBC1 at 20:30 BST on Friday 17 October. If this continues, and hopefully it does as Friday is where is 'belongs', the schedule will be like this:

Episode 4 - 17.10.2008
Episode 5 - 24.10.2008
Episode 6 - 31.10.2008
Episode 7 - 7.11.2008
Episode 8 - 21.11.2008

The break between episodes seven & eight is because of Children In Need.

You can read the synopsis for Bad, Bad Old Days below.

Sitcom about a jack-of-all-trades and his interfering mother-in-law. Fearing that Jimmy has started drinking again in the wake of his break-up with Siobhan, Kev and Bobby are forced to take drastic action.
